The future will be full of huge bat-like creatures, marauding bandits, Mad-Maxian vehicles, and 500,000 + guns.
Upcoming PC title Borderlands promises all this and then some. The new first-person-shooter from Gearbox and 2K Games (think Elder Scrolls and BioShock…) looks like it might just claim the FPS crown next year.
Borderlands offers gamers a vast, post-apocalyptic world full of treasure and monsters, much like an RPG world might, with plenty of room to explore, seeking out riches, weapons, and adventure. Customization is not limited to character growth, but includes a gun-customization system that allows for over 500,000 combinations, making it unlikely that you’ll ever pick up the same weapon twice…ever.
The graphics look even more amazing than I had anticipated when I first heard rumors that this game was in the works.
So basically what makes me excited about this game are the following:
The only bad thing about this game is the fact that it won’t be loaded on my PC or your XBOX 360 or PS3 for another year at least. The actual release date is unknown, but it’s looking like early 2009!
